Warrior Prince Waistcoat and a Royal Prince Jacket:

The waistcoat includes two hem styles, and optional armor plate style front piece is a showstopper which can be decorated with applique, military style buttons of left plain for a more brooding hero and a plain round neck which has the option to be finished with a neat standing collar. Shoulder pieces are included in three styles, as well as a medieval style shoulder roll pattern. All are interchangeable and can be used to enhance dramatic styles for many pantomime and theatrical characters. The hem can also be finished with tabs, and two options are included. Instructions and pattern pieces are included for the front piece decoration including applique Fleur de Lys styles.

An exciting choice for Robin Hood, Dick Turpin, Abanazer or even King Rat, the waistcoat would also stand out for ensemble pirates and rogues

Medieval Waistcoat and Tunic:

The jacket can also be finished with a simple round neck or standing collar, and the pattern includes patterning and instructions for Russia Braid style decorative trims at the centre front and sleeve hems for that extra dash of theatrical polish. Mix, match and layer the shoulder pieces and hem tabs, which can also be utilized with this pattern. Two styles of epaulette are also included to build exactly the silhouette your characters demand and provide ceremonial grandeur.

A sharp, tailored look for versions of Prince Charming, Dandini, Prince Valiant or even a flamboyant Buttons, this Jacket will add a dramatic flourish to a multitude of productions and would be excellent for ensemble soldiers, pirates or guards.

This versatile sewing pattern includes two classic foundations, one V-neck, one rounded. The classic V-neck offers two neckline depths. One a shallow V-neck for a more subtle touch, and the 2nd a deep V-neck to reveal a shirt or cravat adding a touch of royal flair or roguish charm. For a different aesthetic the period inspired round neck features a plain round neck perfect for more traditional looks. This can also be finished with a standing collar to add a touch of formality.

Both these core styles can be created in either a short or long version, which allows for the waistcoat or tunic to be adapted to suit different character types and eras from a nimble hero to a grand Dame’s protector. A variety of shoulder and hem embellishments are included which are fantastic for adding character and visual interest. Instructions are included for different fastenings including quick changing, and decorative details.
